Foods import dei fratelli Monti - which today is based in Corropoli in Val Vibrata - was founded in 1903 by Alceste Monti and established itself on the market distinguishing itself for the quality and reliability of its products.

Alceste Monti, pioneer of a product that has become history, has well thought that the development of a company with industrial connotations for a product that still today has purely artisan characteristics, was the way to leave a healthy, important and renowned company to his family.

Monti's entrepreneurial ability was to know how to recognize the right moment to affirm a product, the soaked cod, which was now felt the need. The soaking of cod, which until a few years ago had made it difficult to use, is now the leading production with 5 tanks of water at a controlled temperature of 1 ° C. A precise process that keeps the characteristics of the cod unchanged but desalted it gently until you get the soaked cod ready to cook MONTI.
